French intensive courses

The French Institute offers a selection of week-long intensive courses which help to review some basic knowledge and to strengthen your level!

⇒ Levels A0, A1, A2, B1 and B2.

 

Class for beginners (A0)

A course for those who start learning French for the first time.

  • 17 – 21 June, 9:00 – 11:00.
  • 1 – 5 July, 9:30 – 11:30.
  • 8 – 12 July, 17:30 – 19:30.

Program:

  • Introducing yourself
  • Pronunciation
  • Communication in everyday situations (travelling, ordering at a restauran, in a shop, etc.)
  • The basics of French grammar.

Intensive course for level A1

A course for those who have already studied French alone or with a teacher but wish to improve the basic knowledge.

  • 10 – 14 June, 9:00 – 11:00.
  • 1 – 5 July, 13:00 – 15:00.
  • 8 – 12 July, 9:00 – 11:00.

Program: 

  • Pronunciation (nasals, difficult letter combinations)
  • Communication in everyday situations
  • Grammar (present and past tenses)
  • Improving vocabulary

Intensive course for level A2

The aim of this course is to improve and to strengthen A2 level in French.

  • 3 – 7 June, 9:00 – 11:00.
  • 17 – 21 June, 15:00 – 17:00.
  • 8 – 12 July, 13:00 – 15:00.

Program:

  • Communication in different situations
  • Improving reading and listening skills
  • Grammar (past and future tenses, conditional) 
  • Improving vocabulary

Intensive course for level B1

The aim of this course is to improve and to strengthen B1 level in French.

  • 8 – 12 July, 17:00 – 19:00.
  • 22 – 26 July, 9:00 – 11:00.

Program:

  • Pronunciation
  • Communication in different situations (travelling, in a shop, at the doctor’s etc.)
  • Grammar (present, future and past tenses, conditional, reported speech)
  • Giving your opinion

Teacher: Elodie Billaud.

 

Intensive course for level B2

The aim of this course is to improve and to strengthen B2 level in French.

  • 1 – 5 July, 9:00 – 11:00.
  • 15 – 19 July, 17:00 – 19:00.

Program:

  • Expressing yourself – debating, argumentation, discussion
  • Writing an essay, a formal letter, an argumentation
  • Subjects – politics, environment, polemic
